Cosmo, registered as Color Me Cosmic, is a 15 year old Paint cross gelding and Brittany’s very first horse. We photographed him on black at Promise Hill Farm in Elgin, Illinois, on a brisk November afternoon.
A True All-Rounder
Brittany describes him as perfect, sweet, and gentle, and there is not much the two of them have not tried. Over the years they have done dressage, eventing, overnight trail rides, hunters, and ranch riding. That kind of willing, do-anything partner is something special.
Bold Blue-Eyed Paint
A black background was made for markings like these. Cosmo’s bold chestnut and white patches and long white mane stand out beautifully, and his soft, kind expression and captivating blue eyes come through in every portrait. He was beautifully behaved in the studio, just as Brittany promised.
See Brittany’s other mare in Chocolate’s fine art portraits, and both horses with Brittany in their horse and rider bond session.
Brittany, thank you for letting me photograph your first horse. Cosmo is every bit as sweet as you said.
