First shows are a big deal. For CJ and Hillcreek Outfoxed, known as Fox, the IDCTA Summer Kickoff at Silverwood Farm in Camp Lake, Wisconsin, was their very first show together, and it was a great success.
A First Show to Remember
CJ and Fox headed to the Summer Kickoff with their trainer, Meghann Fernandez. By the end of the weekend there was plenty to celebrate, and a set of portraits felt like the perfect way to commemorate the occasion.

Silver Coat and Scalloped Braids
Fox stepped into the mobile studio polished for the ring, with scalloped braids and a crystal browband. A white background is a natural fit for a grey horse. It keeps the portraits soft and luminous and lets the details carry the image: the curve of each braid, the sparkle of the browband and the expression in Fox’s eye.
Meghann was a huge help in the studio too, holding Fox and helping set up each pose. She is as great an assistant as she is a trainer.

From the full portrait to the close-ups of the braids and forelock, these images capture a day CJ and Fox will look back on for years.
CJ, congratulations on a wonderful first show with Fox, and thank you for letting me be part of it. Meghann, thank you for all your help in the studio and for helping make the weekend such a success.
