Jodocus is an FEI level dressage horse, and he carried himself like one in the mobile white background studio at the IDCTA Summer Kickoff at Silverwood Farm in Camp Lake, Wisconsin.
A KWPN Gelding by Ampère
Jodocus is a 2014 bay KWPN-NA gelding standing 16 hands. He is by the influential Dutch dressage stallion Ampère, out of Preference ISF, by Jonggor’s Weyden, and he was bred in the United States by Tricia Veley. Today he competes at Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I.
He is owned and ridden by Kristen Becker, an FEI rider, competitor, and trainer based at Equestrian Events in Maple Park, Illinois. Kristen is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist, with distinction in all three. She has also earned her USDF Freestyle Gold, Silver, and Bronze Bars, making her a recipient of the USDF Diamond Achievement Award.

A Gentleman with Dressage Presence
Jodocus is as beautiful as he is kind. He has limited sight in one eye, so he was a little nervous when he first stepped into the studio, but he settled in beautifully, and the portraits absolutely speak for themselves. His gleaming bay coat and perfectly fitted bridle with its bling browband dressed him up as the true gentleman he is.
I am a sucker for a Dutch Warmblood, and Jodocus is no exception. Against the white background, every line of his braided topline and strong, arched neck stands out.
Jodocus wasn’t the only member of Kristen’s team in the studio. See Brody, her right-hand man at every show.
Kristen, it is always such a pleasure to have you in the studio, because I always enjoy spending time with you. Getting to photograph Jodocus was nothing short of exceptional.
